SuperPups Puppy School

Canine Connect is proud to bring our SuperPups Puppy School to the dogs of Noahs Crossing Veterinary Clinic. Through positive experiences and socialisation our ‘SuperPups’ get the best start to life they can, and begin to form habits that will last them a lifetime. Throughout the course we focus on the behavioural development of each puppy. We work with you to create a confident, well-mannered dog that has a strong relationship with their humans.

Run by nationally accredited and recognised behaviour and training specialists, SuperPups Puppy School helps you to raise a “bomb proof” puppy.

Class Structure

Week 1

1. Introduction & Housekeeping
2. Canine/Handler communication
3. Obedience skills – “Sit”
4. Socialisation (What does that really mean)
5. Sound exposure

Week 2

6. Habituation to Touch
7. Obedience Skill – “Place/Bed” Crate
8. Balloon exposure

Week 3

9. Obedience skill – Drop/Down.
10. Superpup Ninja Course
11. Using Basic Obedience to help desensitize pups
12. Bubble exposure

Week 4

13. Obedience skill – “Recall”
14. Feeding
15. Preventing resource guarding
16. Enrichment
17. Funny hats and fluro vests exposure

Week 5

18. Trick training
19. Engagement training
20. Conditioning the body

Week 6

21. Introduction to hydrotherapay learn to swim.
– Ensure puppies do not eat 3 hours prior to hydro session.
– Bring your treats and camera plus a towel.

*Home Challenge

Attendees will receive a home challenge and small scavenger hunt for them to complete during the week and are encouraged to share their findings on social media.

For example, Week 1 – Expose your puppy to 1 unusual sound, an uneven surface and a person in uniform.

Time: 45 minutes per class

Vaccination requirement: All pups must have received their first vaccination or determined by hosting facility.

Cost:
$179 per puppy for the 6 week course.
$300 per puppy for home visit and 5 week course package.

All fees paid at the time of enrolment.
Each participant will receive a graduation certificate and a discount voucher for future classes with Canine Connect.
Each owner must be over the age of 16 or accompanied by an adult. No children attending class under the age of 10. All participants have email access to Canine Connect trainers throughout the course duration for questions and showing progress.

SuperPups Learn To Swim

Your new puppy will be introduced to hydrotherapy with a fully qualified registered hydrotherapist as part of their SuperPups program. However along with this small introduction we highly recommend that you take advantage and register your new puppy into our 4 week learn to swim program.
